Gloria J. Immel

Gloria J. Immel, 73, of Fond
du Lac
, passed away on September 1, 2014 at Hospice
Home of Hope after a relentless battle with cancer.  She was born on April 26, 1941 in Stevens Point, WI,
the daughter of Martin and Agnes Phillips. 
On October 29, 1960 she married David P. Immel at St. Peter’s Church.
David preceded her in death on June 30, 1998. 
Gloria worked at Grancare Nursing Home, Harbor Haven Health and
Rehabilitation and Manorcare Health Services.

 

She was a member of Eagles Ladies Auxillary #270.  Gloria enjoyed bowling on summer leagues and
rummage sales with her sisters. Gloria enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren.  She was an avid reader
with James Patterson being her favorite author. 
Gloria loved the TMC channel and often watched the same movies over and
over.  Gloria was also involved in Relay
for Life and Toys for Tots.

 

She is survived by five children, David (Anita) Immel of Fond du Lac,
Brenda (Joey) Hartman of Fond du Lac, Dawn Immel of Fond du Lac, Clayton
(Danielle) Immel of Eden, and Curtis (Jeanne) Immel of Chilton; six
grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Ashley, Jenna, Trista, and David; two brothers,
Robert (Kathy) Phillips of Fond du Lac and Gary (Cathy) Phillips of Fond du
Lac; two sisters-in-law, Ruth (Kenneth) Pluim of Waupun and Alice Daly of Fond du Lac.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; a daughter, Lynn Muench; a grandchild Christian Muench; her siblings,
Madeline Phillips, Glen (Florence)
Phillips, William (Jean) Phillips, Patricia(Ray) Clohesy, and Janet (Frank)  Abhold.

 

VISITATION: The visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday,
September 4, 2014 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again from 9:30 – 11:00 am on
Friday at church. FUNERAL: The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00
am on Friday, September 5, 2014 at Holy
Family Church

Way.  Cremation will follow the
traditional services and inurnment will take place at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum.

 

The Immel children would like to graciously thank the caring and
supporting staff at the Hospice Home of Hope as well as her family doctor,
Michael Sergi.
