Harold L. Kane

Harold L. Kane, 89, of North Fond du Lac passed away Sat. Nov. 29, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born Oct. 9, 1925 in Milwaukee the son of Leo and Isa (nee Loomis) Kane. Harold was in the U.S. Navy during WWII serving in the Pacific. On Nov. 9, 1946, he married Dorothy Thiede in Milwaukee. Harold worked for Prime Leather Finishes and after moving to Long Lake in 1975 operated Kane Grocery in Chinatown. He also served as Water Patrol Officer on Long Lake for the Town of Osceola and on the Town’s Board of Appeals. Harold was a member of VFW Post 1904 in Fond du Lac, a longtime member of the Crooked Trails Snowmobile Club and served as president of the Long Lake Haven Assoc. 



Those left behind to cherish Harold’s memory include his daughter Gloria Kane, his grandson Taylor Kane, his great grandson Eli Hersey-Kane, his sister-in-law Georgann Kane, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dorothy, his son Hal and his brothers Robert and William. 



Funeral services will be held Thur. Dec. 4th at 8:00 PM at Hope Lutheran Church, 260 Vincent St. Fond du Lac. Rev. Steve Huff will officiate with burial Friday at 10:00 AM in Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. 

Visitation will be Thur. Dec. 4th from 4:00 PM until time of services at the CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the family. Guestbook and online condolences are at www.twohigfunerals.com
