Helen Jean Turner

Helen Jean Turner, 90, of Fond du Lac, was called home to the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2014, at the Woodlands Senior Park, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. 



She was born on November 27, 1923, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was the youngest daughter of Warren and Ada Louise Russell Teela. 



On January 19, 1945 she married Donald Turner. She is re-united with her beloved husband of 61 years and they are now together forever. 



She is survived by three children, Sharon L. ( Dennis) McGovern of Evans, Georgia; Michael W. (Deborah) Turner of Fond du Lac; William D. (Dawn) Turner of Fond du Lac; four grandsons, Michael J. (Tami) Turner; Mark W. Turner; Peter J. (Kristen) McGovern; Travis D. Turner; two granddaughters, Melissa A. (John) McGovern-Dorer; Tanya T. (Quico) Turner-Ayala. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. 



She will be sadly missed by all; especially her close friend and confidant Esther Hodina. You will be in our hearts forever. 



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald on August 22, 2006; one sister: Dorothy Le Fever; two brothers: Russell Teela; Robert Teela; one granddaughter: Heidi J. McGovern. 



A private memorial service will be held for family and friends. 



Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery. 



In honor of her love for dogs and in memory of her 19 year old toy poodle; Missy T., that she had to sadly part with this year, memorials may be directed to the Fond du Lac Humane Society.
