Henry J. Theisen

Henry J. Theisen, 99, of Eden passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 16, 2017. He was born in Campbellsport on November 26, 1917, the son of the late John and Bernadine (Meis) Theisen. On March 8, 1933 he married Viola Bertram at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. They farmed in the Town of Lomira and then in the Town of Eden, the farm where he lived for the past 71 years. 



Henry was a member of the Empire Threshing Association and the Quinney, Oakfield and the Fisherman’s Road Sportsmen and Fishing Clubs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially sturgeon spearing and deer hunting. 



Henry also enjoyed going to auctions, tractor shows and 



casinos and polka music. 


Survivors include his special friend and companion Marion Zeller, his daughters Pat (Bill) Wettstein and Shirley (Don) Ernisse, his daughters-in-law Judy Theisen and Cheryl Theisen, Marion’s children Kim (Jim) Casper, Joy (Mark) Sterr, Gail (John) Dreikosen, Pam (David) Peters and Glen (Chris) Zeller, his grandchildren Jackie Murphy, Judy Walters, Jane (Scott) Iconcaie, Jennifer Wettstein, John (Beth) Wettstein, Amy (Gary) Becker, Barb (Troy) Lund, James Immel, Douglas (Regina) Theisen, Rhonda Engel, Karla (Mike) Erdman, Russell Theisen (fiancee’ Michelle Retzlaff), Randy (Suzanne) Ernisse, Shelly (Dan) Salter, Rick Ernisse, Chad (Megan) Theisen, and Danielle Theisen, 44 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, his sisters Arlene Fechter and Delores Wollner, Darlene Ernisse, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 



Henry was preceded in death by his wife Viola, his sons James, Joseph and Daniel, his daughter Bonnie Immel, his grandchildren Heidi and Kyle Theisen, his brothers John and Norbert (LaGene) Theisen and his brothers-in-law Leroy Wollner and Ray Fechter. 



A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 21st at 11:30 AM at Shepherd of the Hill Catholic Church, W1562 County Road B, Eden. 



Rev. Mark Jones will officiate and entombment will follow in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum at Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac. 



Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21st from 9:30 AM until time of Mass at Shepherd of the Hills Church. 



In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorials to Father Mike Shea’s Sarnelli House.
