Henry “Steve” Sweet

Henry
“Steve” Sweet, passed away on January 26, 2015, at
his home, surrounded by family and friends. 

 

He was
born to Henry and Lorna (Ludwig) Sweet on June 15, 1942. 

 
Steve was a machinist at Giddings and Lewis until his retirement in 2008. 
He was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved fishing and hunting with his
friends, Joe and Bruce.  He loved playing cards with family and friends,
including his sister-in-law Julie (Mike, Jacob, and Noah) Arnold, and
mother-in-law, Donna Burton.  He enjoyed trips to the casinos.  He
will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  He was a strong fighter
until the end.

He is survived by his wife, Carla; a sister, Sarah Sweet; a son, Mike (Julie)
Sweet; a daughter, Anne (Ted) Collier; a stepson, Michael Huebner (fiancée
Alyssa); and three grandchildren: Emma, Hannah, and Faith. 

 

He was
preceded in death by his father, Henry; his mother, Lorna; and a son, Joel.

 
A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the
Holiday Inn, 625 West Rolling Meadows Drive, Fond du Lac, from 5:00 – 8:00
p.m.  Those who wish to celebrate his life are welcome to attend.

has taken place.
