Hildegarde Emma Feldmann

Hildegarde
Emma Feldmann, 89, of Fond du Lac, passed away
on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the St.
Francis Home
.  Hilda was born in Mannheim, Germany
on March 18, 1926, a daughter of Fred and Caroline (Wagner) Leichert. 

On March 20,
1948 Hilda married Kenneth Feldmann at Evangelical Lutheran
Church

Hilda
arrived in the United States
on the USS Breman in 1928 with her parents and her sister, Gertrude.  They settled in Milwaukee and Hilda attended the Bettes
Institute of Business.  After marriage,
Hilda and Ken moved to Fond du Lac
in 1961.  Ken died in a train accident
that year.  Hilda became a working mom
and raised her two sons.  She was a
school secretary at Cleveland
Elementary School
, then as
a secretary for the Teamsters Union.  She
was finally employed with Fond du Lac
Pathology (Consultants Lab) as a manager for 17 years.  Hilda also managed a Little League baseball
team during her sons’ younger years.

Hilda
enjoyed playing Bridge and was the Bridge group organizer at the Senior Center
for more than five years. She also loved cooking, baking, canning produce from
the garden and apple tree.  She made lots
of jams, apple sauce and rhubarb pies. 
Hilda made it her mission to send greeting cards to as many as she could
on their special occasions of celebrations. 

Hilda was a
member of the Church
of Peace
, the Martha
Society and president of the General Federated Women’s Club. 

Hilda is
survived by two sons, Brooks (fiancee, Barbara Stroh) of Fond du Lac and Damon
(Elizabeth) of Waupun; grandchildren, Jennifer Glodny, Katherine (David)
Larson, Nicholas Feldmann, Jamie (Jr) Seyfert, Cathy (Patrick) Smith and Ann
(Paul) Hoffman; great grandchildren, Camden Feldmann, Jackson and Spencer
Glodny, Ava and Aria Seyfert, Abby and Zach Hoffman, Maya and Amelia Smith;
special niece and friend, Carolynne and Tim Younk; others relatives and
friends.

Preceding
Hilda in death are her parents, husband, sister Gertrude Genzler and good
friend Ruth DeTroye.

Visitation:  Hilda’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday,
May 21, 2015 from 4:00 until 5:45 PM at the Church of Peace,
158 S. Military Road,
Fond du Lac

Service: 
At 6:00 PM on Thursday, May 21 at the Church of Peace
a Memorial Celebration of Hilda’s life will be held.  Cremation has taken place and burial will be
at Valhalla Cemetery,
Milwaukee.
