JACK A WOHLFEI

JACK A WOHLFEIL, 87, formerly
of Fond du Lac, WI passed away in Sun City West, AZ. April
25, 2015.  He was born March 28, 1928 to
Wm F Wohlfeil and Gertrude Diekman in Saginaw,
Michigan
.  He graduated from Arthur Hill High in Saginaw and earned a BS degree from Michigan
Technical College,
Houghton, MI.  He entered the US Air Force and was stationed
in Albuquerque, NM.  He
married Betty Mehne in Almond on June 13, 1953.  He worked for Jackson Church and Hoern and
Dilts in Saginaw.  In 1959 he joined G & L in Fond du Lac as a Research
and Design Engineer for automated controls. 
As G & L’s Sales Manager of the Midwestern states, his work took him
throughout the US and Europe.  He was a
registered Professional Engineer in both MI and WI and was past president of
the Northeastern Section of the Institute
of Electrical Engineers
.  He holds ten patents.

He was twice past president
of Hope Lutheran Church.  He loved camping and RVing with his family
and was a great outdoor cook.  After
retirement he enjoyed driving his favorite tractor on his son’s farm.  Beginning in 1993 until his death he spent
the winters with his wife in AZ. 

He is survived by his wife,
one son Jack R. (Patti)  Almond and two
daughters, Laurie Wohlfeil Gurnee, IL and Wendy Colin (Todd) Macedon, NY,  Two grandsons, Alan Stevens Point and Craig
(Brittany) Milwaukee,  One sister in law
Helen Wohlfeil of Saginaw, MI and nieces and nephews.  His parents, three sisters and two brothers
preceded him.

Funeral services will be held
at St. John’s Lutheran Church
in Almond, WI on Sat. June 6th
Visitation at 10 am with the Service to follow at 12 pm.
