James A. Theisen

James A. Theisen, 74, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 19, 2015. He courageously battled 4 months with pancreatic cancer and was in hospice, being cared for at home by his wife and children.

Jim was born March 16, 1941 to Henry and Viola (Bertram) Theisen. On October 29, 1966, he married Judy Hornburg of Waucousta at Trinity Lutheran Church, Dundee. They lived 49 wonderful years in their home on Triple S Road, raising their 4 children and enjoying their 14 grandchildren. Jim attended most of their church and school activities with Judy at his side.

Jim was a wonderful, caring husband, father, and grandfather. Jim graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1959. He proudly served his country in the Army from 1959-1961. After the service in 1961, he worked at the Gehl Company in West Bend, Wisconsin Power and Light, and Shefond Oil in Campbellsport. Jim was the co-founder of K & T Heating and Cooling in 1984 and worked there until his retirement.

After retiring, Jim and Judy traveled all over the country in their mini-motor home, wintered in Arizona for 10 years and more recently, vacationed in the winter months in their travel trailer. Jim served on the Church Council at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dundee, serving in various positions throughout the years. He belonged to the American Legion Post 347 in Lomira and was an Empire Thresheree member. This past summer he was inducted into the Lutheran Church Softball Hall of Fame. He loved deer hunting in the fall and sturgeon spearing before wintering in the south.

Those he leaves behind include his wife, Judy, his four children; Douglas (Regina) of Fond du Lac, Rhonda Engel of Campbellsport, Russell of Campbellsport and Karla (Mike) Erdmann of Eldorado; his grandchildren, Noah, Eli and Leah Theisen, Elicia, Owen and Evonna Engel, Dominic, Cassandra, Jacob and Julia Theisen and Erika, Anna, Lydia and Talia Erdmann. He is further survived by a brother-in-law Richard (Mary) Hornburg of Eden and sisters-in-law Joanne (Rolland) Hoff of Fond du Lac, Jane (Steven) Beck of Eden and Cheryl Theisen of St. Cloud, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
