James R. Rusch

James R. Rusch, age 67, of Chilton lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Atrium Post Acute Care of Chilton. He was born October 13, 1949 in Sheboygan, son of the late Ruben R. and Eva J. (Mohr) Rusch.



James graduated from Chilton High School class of 1967. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for several years. James had an interest in electrical engineering and continued to go on to school at the University of Arizona. He completed his Bachelors of Science degree in electrical engineering, worked at Hugh’s Aircraft, and continued his education working towards his Master’s Degree.



James worked for Hughs Aircraft until 1985 and then he moved home and helped on the family farm raising pigs, until his retirement. He loved making firewood and cutting logs for lumber. For enjoyment James would love to watch football with his family and enjoyed family get togethers. Almost nightly he would venture out on a jog around the neighborhood. 



James was a member of Calvary Chapel Church in Appleton where he attended church and strengthened his faith. He was always intrigued by researching the scriptures, the Bible was important to him and how he lived his life.



James is survived by his sister, Amy (Orvis) Genske of Brillion; brothers: Steven (Peggy) Rusch of Chilton, and Phillip (Stacy) Rusch of Brookfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.



Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Calvary Chapel Church, 2136 E Newberry St., Appleton, WI 54915, with the Rev. Dwight Douville officiating. Burial will be in the EUB Cemetery in Rantoul. Friends my call at church from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Monday, May 15, 2017.
