Jean Marie Keating

Jean
Marie Keating, age 62, passed away peacefully at home in Fond du Lac, WI
on Sunday, October 16, 2016. She had recently moved from her longtime home of
Minnesota to be with her twin sister, Mary Jo. Jean’s family and friends
remember the sparkling wit, generous spirit, and unconditional kindness that encompassed
her being. Her many exceptional talents endure through her abundant works of
art and writing.  Jean celebrated living
a fully expressed life, honoring authenticity, creativity, youthfulness, artistry
and presence.

Jean was born in
1954, shortly after her twin sister, Mary Jo, near Thorp, WI. Their
unparalleled bond led them to share many travels, adventures (including
some exciting horse rides), and a remarkable passion for artistic
endeavors, including painting, sculpture, and mixed-media arts. Jean was an
outstanding student at Thorp High School and graduated from the University
of Wisconsin-Eau Claire
in 1976 with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and was a certified public accountant
. She was a
longtime resident of Deephaven, MN, where she worked for United Healthcare and
later pursued art, writing, public speaking, convening, and a spiritual journey
that continues on.

She
and her daughter, Grace, held a great compassion for animals of any kind,
sharing their home with many pets over the years, including their beloved dog,
AJ. They also surrounded themselves with numerous thriving plants, both indoors
and outdoors. Jean found great inspiration and clarity in the experience of
motherhood and was in the process of writing a book on the subject.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Grace M. Keating of
Minneapolis, MN, her siblings, Patricia Keating of Milwaukee, WI, Joseph
(Diane) Keating of Lilburn, GA, Terry (Julie) Keating of Sturgeon Bay, WI,
Kathy Keating of Lakewood, CO, David (Connie) Keating of Lusaka, Zambia, Susan
(Dave) Peters of Oconomowoc, WI, Mary Jo (Duane Johnson) Keating of Fond du
Lac, WI, Paula (Jim) Jagels of Evergreen, CO, Claire (Bud) Moore of Evergreen,
CO, Robert Keating (Deb Schumaker) of Windsor, WI, and Lorrie (Jack) Heinemann
of Waunakee, WI. Jean is further survived by her dear friend, Lane Macalester,
and Grace’s father, Brian Billingsley, as well as many cherished nieces,
nephews and friends.

in death by her parents, Joseph and Mary Louise Keating, a nephew, Joseph A.
