Joanne S. Berenz

Joanne S. Berenz, 62,
passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Hope
with her loving family at her side.

She was born April 28,
1955, in Fond du Lac, the daughter of Elmer and Rita (Stenz) Berenz. She
attended St. Mary’s Grade School and graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School
in 1973.

In her youth, she formed
lifelong friendships as a member of the Marquis Drum and Bugle Corp, playing
first baritone. Joanne worked in healthcare as a CNA and administrative
assistant at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, then in the hospital business office
at Agnesian Healthcare, until the onset of her illness.

She was an amazing
“Auntie Jo” for her nieces and nephews, whom she thought the world of. Joanne
truly was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. She was artistic and enjoyed
crafting. She enjoyed road trips with her Boxer Cleo, and work days would end
with drives through the Kettle Moraine or stops at Lakeside Park.

Joanne is survived by
her brothers Dennis and Gary (Sandy) Berenz; her sister Sandra (William) Ford and
sisters-in-law Mary Berenz and Betty Berenz; nieces and nephews Joe, Brett,
Kyle, Dustin Berenz, Sarah (Alexander) Berenz Gainullin, Ryan and Margaret
Ford; great-nephew and niece Miles and Julia Gainullin; an uncle Robert Stenz
and many special cousins. She is also survived by dear friends Denise Duley,
Chad and Hunter Krebsbach, and Sandy Osborn.

She was preceded in
death by her parents Elmer in 2005 and Rita in 2017; her brother Jim in 2016;
infant brother John and infant niece Katie Ford; grandparents Hubert and
Pauline (Koenigs) Berenz and Joseph and Margaret (Mueller) Stenz;
step-grandmother Hazel Stenz and numerous other relatives.

Joanne faced her
difficult journey with true grace. Her family is sincerely grateful to the
staff at St. Agnes Hospital, Agnesian Cancer Center, Lakeview Place, St.
Francis Home and the Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope for the dignified and
compassionate care you provided. There were so many wonderful people who
touched her life the past eighteen months. You made a difference!

Visitation will be held
on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at Holy Family Church, 271
4th Street Way in Fond du Lac.

A Memorial Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM following the visitation.
Cremation has taken place. Interment will be in the St. Peter Cemetery at a
later date.
