John H. Kirsch

John H. Kirsch, 78, a resident of 597 Kingswood Ave, passed away April 17th 2014 at Hospice Home of Hope, following a brief illness.

He was born February 3rd in Milwaukee, a son of the late John C. and Harriet (Nee) Zamiatala Kirsch.

John attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

John worked at Mercury Marine for over 40 years, as a Materials Manager and took great pride in his work.

John is remembered for the great joy he shared with his children in the outdoors: sitting on the pier on Long Lake watching them fish, water ski and swim in the summer and snowmobiling the beautiful Kettle Moraine trails in the winter. He had a great love for sports, particularly baseball, golf, and bowling. His athletic drive and love for these games is carried on through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Later in life he enjoyed spending sunny days on his deck with his family watching the birds, talking about his garden, and sharing home-brewed sun tea.

John leaves behind his loving children, John (Mary) of Malone, Cynthia (Michael) Wellnitz of Byron. Deborah Schneider, and Jeff (Tracy) Kirsch of Fond du Lac. Grandchildren include Jason Guell, Christine(Cory) Rottman, Jason Kirsch, Madison and Jenna Kirsch, Cory Moss, Courtney (Adam) Moss, and Gavin Klima, and four Great-Grandchildren Maddox, Callie, Caden, and Cole  He is also survived by one sibling: Alfred (Jerry) Kirsch of Racine

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Genavieve J (Nee) Eilert

Services: Private Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014

In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s name may be directed to the Agnesian Hospice Home of Hope.
