John “Jack” R. Krueger

John “Jack” R. Krueger, 85, of Fond du Lac passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.  He was born on February 18, 1929 in Fond du Lac to John and Mildred (Kellett) Krueger.  Jack was a graduate of Rufus King High School of Milwaukee in 1947.  Following this, Jack attended college and served in the Korean War.  After serving his country, Jack married Judith Collins on November 16, 1963 at Division Street United Methodist Church in Fond du Lac.  They celebrated 50 years of marriage last year.

Jack was a loving husband and father who had many interests.  He enjoyed traveling/camping, and was an avid bicyclist.  He also enjoyed old cars and was a charter member of the Kaiser-Frazer Owners Club.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his loving wife who was by his side in all that they did.

Jack was active in his community.  He was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving in many capacities.  He also served as a Scout Master, and volunteered his time with Big Brothers of Fond du Lac.  Jack retired from a long career as an account specialist at Taycheedah Correctional Institution and then drove a school bus serving Fond du Lac School District for a number of years.

Jack is survived by his wife Judy; his two children: Dennis (Tammy) Krueger, Green Bay; Alison (Kip) Jones, Fond du Lac; his seven grandchildren: Joshua (friend Cassie) Krueger, Katelynn Krueger, Johnathan Krueger and Hannah Krueger and Calyn Jones, Morgn Jones and Teagen Jones; Jack is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law David (Shirley) Krueger.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents John and Mildred Krueger, and father and mother-in-law George and Irma Collins.

Visitation will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 1225 4th St., Fond du Lac, from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Saturday April 5, 2014.

Service will take place at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 11:15 am.  Entombment will follow in Rienzi Cemetery.

We thank all of who supported Jack and his family through this difficult time. Although he will be deeply missed by his family, we rejoice that Jack has gone home and look forward to seeing him again one day!
