John Michael Korb

John Michael Korb, 80, of Fond du Lac, WI and Tequesta,
FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2015, at St. Francis Home in
Fond du Lac.

John was born June 25, 1935, at St. Agnes Hospital in
Fond du Lac, the son of Dr. Michael and Dolorosa (O’Brien) Korb, who preceded
him in death.  He graduated from St. Mary’s
Springs Academy in 1953 and from Marquette University in 1961 with a double
major in economics and political science. 
John served with the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1956.  On May 1, 1965, he married Catherine Ann
Landgraf in Appleton, WI and they were blessed to celebrate 50 years of
marriage in May 2015.

John was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  He has been a member of the securities
industry and an investment consultant since 1962.  Throughout his career, John was a dedicated
volunteer and active board member on countless community and civic endeavors
including Marian University, St. Francis Home, Children’s Museum of Fond du
Lac, United Way, St. Mary’s Springs Academy, and South Hills Golf and Country
Club.  His passion for golf led him to a
lifelong membership at South Hills Golf and Country Club where he nurtured and
valued numerous friendships throughout his life.

John was the beloved husband of Catherine Ann, loving
father to Michael (Stephanie), caring and generous grandfather to Arianna and Jonathan
Korb, all of Fond du Lac.  He is further
survived by his sister, Ann C. Korb of South Bend, IN.

Visitation:  Family and friends may greet the family on
Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 4:00-7:00 pm at Zacherl Funeral Home 875 E.
Division St., FdL, WI  54935 and
Wednesday, July 15 from 9:30-10:45 am at Holy Family Catholic Church 271 Fourth
St. Way, FdL, WI  54937. 

Service:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
11:00 am on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at Holy Family Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to
the members of the TCU and therapy staff on the 6th floor of St. Agnes
Hospital, St. Francis Home and Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Hope for their
compassionate and skilled care.  Special thanks to all family and friends who
have shared their loving support and time visiting with “Korbie” during this
journey.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to St. Mary’s
Springs Academy, Children’s Museum of Fond du Lac or Marian University Working
Families Grant.
