John W.L. Hebenstreich

John “Turtle” W. L.
Hebenstreich, 64, of South Milwaukee, formerly of Fond du Lac, died on
Saturday, February 10, 2018, at his home.

 

He was born on March 19,
1953, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late John J. and Emma (Marker)
Hebenstreich. On December 1, 1973, he married Vicki L. Labott in Milwaukee.

 

John proudly served his
country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a maintenance man for
Erie Manufacturing and Goodwill Industries. John will fondly be remembered as a
“jack of all trades”. He enjoyed working on cars, playing darts and attending
sporting events. He loved music and attending concerts but his greatest love
was spending time with his grandchildren.

 

John is survived by his wife,
Vicki; two daughters, Kimberly (Robert) Searle and Traci (Scott) Junek; two
grandchildren, Ashley Searle and Anthony Junek; four sisters, Delores Towne,
Bette Boettcher, Karon (Leroy) Clark and Diane (Glenn) Schmeling, nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 

John was preceded in death by
his father, John Hebenstreich; his mother, Emma Ranger and two brothers-in-law,
Elwin Towne and Woodrow Boettcher.

 

VISITATION: Friends may call
on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral
Chapel, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

FUNERAL: Funeral services
will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel.  Cremation will follow the traditional service.
Inurnment will be in Rienzi Cemetery at a later date.

A Celebration of Life will be
held at a later date in Milwaukee.
