Kenneth Richard Sippel

Kenneth Richard Sippel, 80, a resident of Fond du Lac passed away April 16, 2013 at the St. Francis Home.

He was born April 8, 1933 in Princeton, WI a son of the late Ernest and Pelagia “Polly” Pauly Sippel.

On May 9, 1953 he married Marceline “Marcie” Gallitz at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Woodhull.

Kenneth was a 1951 graduate of St. Mary’s Springs Academy. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard from 1951 to 1960. Kenneth was employed as a parts manager for many years at Henkel Motors, and later Frank Motors of Fond du Lac, Ernie von Schledorn in Horicon and Mayville, retiring in 1997.

Ken was a member of Holy Family Parish, where he served for funerals, on Fridays, and was an active usher. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus Council #664 where he held several offices.

Survivors include his wife Marcie, a daughter Kathleen M. (Don) Zoellner of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, Alan R. Zoellner, Peter J. Zoellner both of Madison, and Karen R. (David) Edington of West Bend. Three brothers, Lloyd (Joan) Sippel, Ernest (Dolores) Sippel, and Stanley (Maureen) Sippel, four sisters, Mary “Marge” (Dick) Baccus, Dolores (J. Peter) Braun, Donna (Mark) Meents, and Eileen Calvey, five sisters-in-law Sylvia Sippel, Joan (David) Giebel, Margaret (Orlando) Schmitz, Sr. Helen Gallitz, CSA, and Ann (Dan) Barefoot, a brother-in-law, John (Rita) Gallitz, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother Elroy Sippel and a brother-in-law Christopher Calvey.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Friday 19, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at Holy Family Parish Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to Holy Family Parish Building Fund, St. Agnes Hospice Hope Program or Wisconsin Right to Life.
