Larry L. Born

Larry L. Born, 72, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, October 17, 2013, at home following his battle with leukemia.

He was born on March 22, 1941, in Sheboygan, a son of Delbert C. and Elaine L. Wilsing Born.

On June 23, 1962, he married Donna L. Beninghaus.

Larry worked for Plastic Engineering of Sheboygan for 14 years, then as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance for eight years and finally at the Fond du Lac School District for 18 years until his retirement in 1999. 

He was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Fond du Lac.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren, his grand dog, gardening, carpentry, and toy car collecting.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Timothy (Michelle) Born of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren: Gabriella and Maxwell Born; his mother, Elaine Born of Sheboygan; a sister, Delaine (Robert) Rogge of Sheboygan; a brother, Douglas (Wendy) Born of Sheboygan; his wife’s sister-in-law, Carole Fritz of Sheboygan; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Born; and his wife’s brother, Robert Beninghaus.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Covenant United Methodist Church, 20 North Marr Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Michael Morning officiating.  Entombment will be at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park.

The visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Wednesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
