LaVerna K. Pingel

LaVerna K. Pingel (Broehm) passed away on December 4, 2014 at Libby’s House. She was born November 6, 1922 in Hilbert to the late Arvin & Lydia (Fredrich) Broehm, Sr. On November 6, 1943, she married Harold Pingel in Potter. She and Harold farmed together until 1983. LaVerna was a member of County-line Homemakers, and was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ where she was also a member of the choir and women’s guild. LaVerna enjoyed baking, spending time with her family and enjoyed watching the Brewers & Packers. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Kenneth of Chilton, Dale (Elaine) of Kaukauna, Donald (Donna) of Chilton, Glen (Rita) of Chilton; grandchildren: Sarah (Doug) Woelfel, Paula (Leonard) Rona, Pamela Pingel, Mark (Lynette) Pingel, Kelly (Ryann) Goodrich, Mary (Patrick) Neuman, Cory Pingel, Duane (Carmen) Pingel, Carol Pingel, Stefanie Pingel, Kimberlee (Sean) Pringle, Sean (Keri) Pingel, Kyle Pingel; great grandchildren: Rachel & Daniel Woelfel, Kyla & Lela Rona, Jaren & Lake Pingel, Gabriel Goodrich & an additional Goodrich child on the way, Gauge & Jeremiah Pingel, Jennifer Pringle, Jordan & Braxton Pingel; her siblings: Jerry (Joan) Broehm of Brillion, James (Grace) Broehm of Arizona, Germain Bratz of Brillion, Carl (Sharon) Broehm of Arizona, Darlene (Paul) Schumacher of Wisconsin Rapids, Arvin “Curly” (Donna) Broehm, Jr. of Elkhart Lake; in laws: Ruth Broehm, Virginia Hephner, Ruth & Milton Behnke, Lily Wunrow and Sandi Pingel; and her special roommate: Dolores Schmitz. She is preceded in death by her husband: Harold; her parents; her in-laws: Robert & Bertha Pingel; a daughter-in-law: Nancy Pingel; granddaughters: Ann, Jean & Jane Pingel; brothers: Eugene, Leo, Ruben, Milford & Ronald; and brothers and sisters-in-law. Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Ebenezer United Church of Christ (44 W. Washington) in Chilton with the Rev. Michael Safford-Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday, December 8, 2014.
