Leonard “Butch” C. Bacon

Leonard “Butch” C. Bacon,
Jr., 71, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 20, 2016, at home.

 

He was born on January 20,
1945, in Fond du Lac, a son of Leonard C. and Norma H. Halle Bacon, Sr.

 

Len graduated from L.P. Goodrich
High School, Class of 1963, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

 

He owned and operated Bacon
Realty.  He was a member of the Realtors
Association of Northeast Wisconsin and was a past member of the Fond du Lac
Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid motorcycle rider, even racing
in competitions.  He was an amateur pilot,
prior to family obligations, and in his youth he was a gymnast.

 

He is survived by his mother,
Norma Bacon of Fond du Lac; three children: Master Sgt. Todd (JoAnne) Bacon of
Fayetteville, North Carolina, Kenneth Bacon of Fond du Lac, and Deana Bacon of
Brownsville; five grandchildren: Skylar, Cas, Alex, Bridgette, and Cassandra; a
great-granddaughter, Aubree; a very special friend, Arla Krug of Fond du Lac;
and former wife and mother of Len’s children, Lynda Bacon Lawlis of Fond du
Lac.

 

He was preceded in death by
his father, Leonard C. Bacon, Sr.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 10:00 – 2:00 p.m.
on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31
East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

FUNERAL SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m.
on Saturday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. Jennifer
C.W. Dawson officiating.

 

Burial will be in Estabrooks
Cemetery.
