Leonard G. Weiland

Leonard G. Weiland, 95, of Campbellsport passed away Sat. June 6, 2015 at Ivy Manor in Campbellsport. He was born June 29, 1919 in Town of Ashford, the son of the late Herman and Elsie (nee Zehren) Weiland. On June 3rd, 1944, He married Rose E. Stoffel at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, Campbellsport, where he continued to be a member. Leonard worked for Schill Motors for a short time and then at Gehl Company in West Bend for many years. For many years Leonard served as head usher at St. Matthew’s and also served on St. Matthew’s Cemetery Board. He was a member of the Fr. Mathias Zerfas Knights of Columbus in Fond du Lac. He enjoyed cutting wood, fishing and working on projects in his garage and basement but most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 



He is survived by his daughters Patricia Reilly of Fond du Lac and Karen (Jerome) Raether of Campbellsport, grandchildren; Steve (Lori) Reilly, Brian Reilly, Jodi (Tim) Kohlmann, Megan (Erik) Schuessler and Noah Raether, great-grandchildren Katie (Beau) Gellings, Kelly Wondra, Jamie and Brittany Reilly, Jonathan Reilly, Macoy, Riley and Gage Kohlmann, his sisters-in-law Elizabeth Weiland and Mildred Weiland, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 



Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Rose on Dec. 23, 2014, his grandson Gary Reilly and his great-grandson Tommy Reilly, his brothers Leander, Reynold, Edward (Agnes) and Norbert, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Marie and Paul Koch, Anna and Florian Butschlick and Evelyn and Harold Anders. 



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wed. June 10th at 6:00 PM at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 406 E. Main St. Campbellsport. Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate and burial will follow in St. Matthew’s Cemetery. 



Visitation will be Wed. June 10th from 3:00 PM until time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Matthew’s Cemetery or Roof Funds. 



The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Francis Terrace, Agnesian Hospice Hope and especially Ivy Manor for their care and concern of Leonard during his last years.
