Linda M. Rock

Linda M. Rock, 71, of North
Fond du Lac, died Sunday, October 16, 2016, at home, surrounded by her loved
ones.

 

She was born on November 16,
1944, in Fond du Lac, a daughter of Alvin and Agnes Krenn Kurth.  Linda was a graduate of Horace Mann High
School, Class of 1963.

 

On May 18, 1968, she married
Gordon V. Rock at Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac.

 

Linda worked at Kiekhaefer
Marine, Target, and later with IMRL Railroad in Davenport, Iowa.  She loved bowling, golfing, volleyball, going
to the casinos with her daughter, Rebecca, and playing cards.  On three different occasions, Linda won Texas
Hold ‘em Poker tournaments, with each tournament having in excess of 35
entrants.  Linda’s pride and joy were her
children and grandchildren, attending their school events and sporting
events.  She was a member of Church of
Peace.

 

Linda was a member of the Women’s
Bowling Association for 30 years.   She was a member of the City All Star Team,
season’s 1981 and 1982 and 1986 and 1987 of the Fond du Lac Women’s Bowling
Association.  Linda was fourth ever, in
the history of Women’s Fond du Lac County Bowling Association, to get a 700
series, bowling a 729 on October 3, 1983. 

 

She is survived by her
husband, Gordon; three children: Dale (Sara) Rock of Fond du Lac, Coral Rock of
North Fond du Lac, and Rebecca (Bradley) Bigford of Andalusia, Illinois; five
grandchildren:  Sydney, Bree, Brady,
Blake, and Taylor; a brother, Robert (Dorothy) Kurth of Fond du Lac; a sister,
Mary Werner of North Fond du Lac; two sisters-in-law:  Carole Stettbacher of North Fond du Lac and
Doreen Rock of North Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

She was preceded in death by
her parents; her mother and father-in-law; and two brothers-in-law:  Gordon Stettbacher and Michael Rock.

 

VISITATION:  The family will greet relatives and friends
from 11:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Kurki-Mach Funeral
Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac.

 

SERVICE:  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m.
on Saturday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. Bill Beaton
officiating. 

 

Cremation has taken place.
