Marjorie L. Bleck

Marjorie L. Bleck, 96, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, October 14, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital,

Fond du Lac. 

She was born on July 4, 1917, in Waupun, a daughter of Oscar and Elsie Samuel Kotenberg.

Marjorie was a graduate of Waupun High School, Class of 1935.  She attended the University of Wisconsin, Fond du Lac Campus, Murray College, Kentucky, and Prospect Hall, Milwaukee.  She moved to Fond du Lac in 1950.

In 1957, she married Paul F. Bleck at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul G. Piotter officiating.  He preceded her in death in 1965.

She worked as an office manager and accountant for Teeple Shoe Company, Waupun, Henkel Motors, and retired in 1984, from Holiday Auto, after 25 years of employment. 

Marjorie was a member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church and Elizabeth Circle. She was a former member of the choir, Chancel Guild, Harmony Bell Choir, and the Dollars and Cents Investment Club.  She was an active member of the Fond du Lac Republican Club, Altrusa Club and Lois Club.  She enjoyed fishing, hunting, swimming, golfing, playing bridge, and extensive traveling.

She is survived by cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Rick Engen officiating.  Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery.

The visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorials may be directed to Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, Hospice Hope or the Salvation Army.
