Mark Edward Anders

Mark Edward
Anders, 60, a resident of Fond du Lac, passed
away May 5, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital.
His wife, Robin, was his constant support throughout his fight with cancer. He
passed away peacefully surrounded by his entire family.

He was born
November 24, 1955 in Fond du Lac;
a son of Edmund A. and Margaret A. (Hau) Anders.

On October
20, 1979, he married Robin L. Bakos at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Fond du Lac.

Mark was a
graduate of St. Mary’s Springs High School and the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh,
where he earned a degree in finance. Mark was co-owner and operator with his
brother Chuck and sister Jane, of Anders Auto Parts, Fond du Lac, a member of the Wisconsin
Automotive Parts Association and a PPG Platinum Distributor. He was active in
many local sports activities, including coaching soccer and donating his time
to Blue Line Hockey and Figure Skating. Mark served on the F.A.C.E.S. board of
directors and chaired the St. Mary’s Parish Festival, both for several years.
He also served on the parish council. He was a member of Holy Family Parish and
the Knights of Columbus Council #664. He enjoyed teaching, woodworking,
coaching, gardening and landscaping, cars, auto parts, paints, spending time
with his grandchildren, being outdoors, playing cards, trips to Door County
with his wife, and supporting his children in music, art and sports. He was an
avid University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point soccer fan, and a Verona Grove “critic”.

Survivors
include his loving wife Robin; his children: daughter, Kelly (Jim) Krause and granddaughter,
Paisley of Fond du Lac;
son, Tony (Heather) Anders and granddaughter, Adelyn of Appleton; daughter,
Ashley (fiancé, Jason Thomas) Anders of Appleton. He is further survived by his
sister, Jane (John) Schuppe, brother Chuck (Ann) Anders, sister, Phyllis (Rick)
Brink all of Fond du Lac,  brother Don
(Barb) Anders of Wautoma, and sister Clare (Steve) Jones of Winneconne,  his mother-in-law, Helen Bakos of Fond du Lac,
his father-in-law, John (Carolyn) Bakos and Danielle of Fond du Lac,  sister-in-law, Ronda Bakos of West Bend, 16
nieces and nephews as well as many other relatives and friends.

He was
preceded in death by his father Edmund and mother Margaret, and a great-niece,
Grace Anders.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Monday,
May 9, 2016 at the Zacherl Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Visitation will
also be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Holy Family Parish from 10:00 to 10:45
AM.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Parish, 271 Fourth Street
Way, Fond du Lac.
Burial will follow in the Calvary

the most incredible people on this journey.”
