Marloe W. Glass

Marloe W. Glass, 96, formerly of Elmore passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. He was born in Beechwood, Sheboygan County, WI on July 12, 1920, the son of Adolph and Edna (Schmidt) Glass. He was baptized at St. John’s United Church of Christ, Beechwood and attended Beechwood School. 



As a young adult, Marloe worked for Kewaskum area farmers. He then worked for 31 years at Universal Foods (Stella Cheese) in Campbellsport. For many years in his retirement, he mowed lawns at four area cemeteries. He enjoyed cutting wood, hunting, fishing and walking trails near his birthplace in Beechwood. After 1951 he lived in the Town of Auburn, Fond du Lac County and moved to Elmore in 1973. He resided at Brookdale in Fond du Lac after January of 2015. Marloe was a member of New Horizon United Church of Christ, Kewaskum (Boltonville). 



Marloe’s survivors include two brothers Orville (Joan) Glass of Eden, and Rolland (Lorna) Glass of Lomira, nieces and nephews Judy (Harlow) Reseburg, Randall (Cindy) Glass, Bonnie (John) Burmeister, Richard Glass, Brian Glass, Joy (Alan) Tassler, Roger Glass and Alan (Christine) Glass and, other relatives and friends. 



In addition to his parents, Marloe was preceded in death by two brothers Norbert and Elroy Glass and two sisters Irene Hinn and Viola Fritz. 



Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at New Horizon United Church of Christ, 9663 Highway 144, Kewaskum. Rev. David Schleiter will officiate and burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. 



Visitation will be Monday Jan. 2nd from 11:00 AM until time of services at the CHURCH.
