Mary A. Weber

Mary A. Weber, age 63, of Chilton, died of natural causes, in the comfort of her home, on Friday, February 16, 2018.  She was born December 17, 1954 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Paul & Loretta “Hazel” (Head) Weber.

Mary worked for the Calumet County Court House until 1994 and then spent time working a variety of jobs.  She also devoted time as a waitress, alongside her mother, at Chilton Eagles Club and Kloten Oasis.  Beyond her employment, Mary will be most remembered for her countless hours of volunteering and her many creations and donations.  Anyone that came in contact with Mary was quick to hear that if they had yarn to share, she would be happy to have it.  She was recognized for over 1000 hours of knitting lap blankets, slippers, hats & gloves for the veterans.  But her creations also extended to knitting baby hats, prayer shawls & scarves, quilting, making rosaries, or any other idea that was presented to her and she felt compelled to make.  Mary’s love for children was evident in the time she spent tutoring the students and helping at Chilton Area Catholic School.  She also enjoyed and offered her time at Good Shepherd Parish as a Eucharistic minister, making first Friday calls and helping with parish dinners, and also the Salvation Army and New Holstein Salvatorian Center.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Parish, the Chilton VFW & American Legion Auxiliaries and the Legion of Mary.

Beyond the hours spent tutoring, volunteering and crafting, Mary’s presence will truly be missed at the many school functions she attended.  She never missed an event that her great nephew & niece, David & Sarah, were involved in.  Her love and support for David & Sarah was a true gift to our family and we will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her sister-in-law: Bonnie Weber; a nephew: Rick (Mary Jo) Weber and their children, David & Sarah: and close family friends, Jim & Lori Koller and their children, all of Chilton.  She is further survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.  Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jim Weber and a nephew, David Weber.

Funeral service will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating.  Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W.
