Mary M. Kreul

Mary M.
Kreul, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2017 at Harbor Haven
Health and Rehabilitation in Fond du Lac. She was born in Hartford, WI on April
11, 1935 to Dr. Maurice and Marjorie (Peterson) Monroe. Mary was a 22 year
survivor of COPD.


Mary
received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University. On August 17,
1957 she was united in marriage to Randolph “Randy” W. Kreul, Jr. at Holy Hill
National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians. They celebrated 60 years of
marriage this year.


Mary was a
medical technologist during her working years. 
She was a member of the American Medical Technologists. Mary’s faith was
very important to her.  She was a leader
of Faith Builders Bible Study at Sacred Heart Church, a devout member of the
Holy Family Catholic Community as well as a devout participant of Eucharist
Adoration at Sacred Heart Church.


In addition,
Mary was a residential chairperson for the American Cancer Society and a dual leader
of Tai Chi in No. Fort Myers, FL.


Mary loved
being with family and friends. She especially looked forward to spending time
with her grandchildren, which gave her much joy. Over all her adult years, each
month Mary took pride in selecting dozens of greeting cards with just the right
message sent to each relative and friend to celebrate their special occasion. She
was an avid reader, devout Christian, and looked forward to spending the
winters in Florida. She and Randy were blessed to have had the opportunity to
travel extensively.


Mary is
survived by her loving husband, Randy; three daughters, Beth (Tom) Frei of West
Bend WI, Katie (Larry) Reinhart of Invermere, British Columbia, Canada, and
Patti Kreul of Kalispell, Montana; six grandchildren, Zachary Sheely (Special
Friend Tess Hafner), Kyle (Jordan) Van Eimeren, Joshua Sheely (Special Friend
Courtney LoBianco), Kimberly Frei (Special Friend Joe Worth), Nolan Van Eimeren
(Fiancée Andrea Wood), and Michael Frei. Mary is further survived by sisters, Barbara
(Jerome) Zielinski, and Jane Schroeder, brother-in-law, Honorable Richard (Mary
Ann) Kreul, sisters-in-law, Kathleen Monroe, Glenasue (Sue) Monroe, and Joan
Kreul, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.


Mary was
preceded in death by an infant daughter, her parents Dr. Maurice and Marjorie
Monroe, sister and brother-in-law Ellen (Jack) Winterhalter, brothers Infant
Joseph, Michael, and Eugene Monroe, father and mother-in-law Dr. Randolph and
Lucille Kreul, brother-in-law Dr. John Kreul.


Visitation
and Services: Mary’s family will greet relatives and friends at Sacred Heart
Church, 200 S. Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac on Friday, October 27th from
9:00 AM to 10:45 AM with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00
AM with Fr. Max Tzul, FMM presiding. Interment will be at Chapel of the Risen Christ
Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery, 686 Fond du Lac Ave.


Memorials may
be directed to the American Lung Association, American Cancer Society or Holy
Family Catholic Community.


In addition, we’d like to give our
heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Harbor Haven Health and
Rehabilitation for the loving care they gave Mary, and our family.
