Mildred L. “Millie” Wohler

Mildred L. “Millie” Wohler, 89, formerly of Eldorado, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Touchstone Assisted Living, with her loving husband, Elmer, at her side.

 

She was born on March 27, 1925, in the Town of Empire, a daughter of William and Alma Mielke Boyke.

 

On June 7, 1947, Millie married Elmer O. Wohler.  Together she and Elmer owned and operated a dairy farm in the Township of Eldorado for more than 50 years.

 

Millie was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.  She was a 4-H leader and did volunteer work at St. Agnes Hospital for many years.  She and Elmer enjoyed square dancing with the Waupun Prison City Square Dance Club and Lakeside Twirlers Square Dance Club.  She enjoyed birds, gardening, reading, trying out new recipes, and especially baking homemade bread.

 

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Elmer; three daughters:  Janet (Frank) Johnson of Eldorado, Sandra (Ken) Stephany of New Holstein, and Kathy (Ed) Montsma of Lamartine; eight grandchildren:  Jeff (Beth) Johnson, Kim (Joey) Zolezzi, Tim (Leah) Johnson, Ryan, Megan, and Kyle Stephany, Allison and Kalen Montsma; eight great-grandchildren:  McKayla, Brynn, Cambree, Anthony, Isabella, Marissa, Hayden, and Greyson.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one sister; and a brother-in-law.

 

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Bill Beaton officiating. 

 

The visitation will be on Sunday at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park.
