Nancy J. Hoffman (Brandt)

Jesus welcomed Nancy home on December 4, 2013.  She was born on November 14, 1946, in Fond du
Lac, WI, the daughter of the late Carl L. and Jean A. (Parker) Brandt.  She graduated from L.P. Goodrich High School
in 1964, continued her education at MPTI, and became a licensed practical
nurse.  Her nursing career included St.
Agnes Hospital, Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Adult Care Consultants, and
Caregivers Home Health.  On June 3, 1967,
she married John C. Hoffman at St. Matthews Methodist Church in Fond du
Lac.

Throughout her life, everyone knew Nancy to be a loving,
serving, compassionate, encouraging, vivacious, empathetic, and warm-hearted
woman.  Nancy’s pride and joy were her
four beautiful daughters and her eight grandchildren.  She loved guiding, teaching, and supporting
her family in all their activities.  In
addition, Nancy had countless friends and acquaintances that she treated as
family.  She enjoyed organizing
activities for the neighborhood children; cooking for and sharing with those in
need or, simply, just because; and worshiping and fellowshipping at Grace
Reformed Church.  Despite recent physical
and medical hardships, Nancy remained resilient.  She never lost her enthusiasm for life,
always praising God and took every opportunity to tell people about His grace.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband John;
daughters Charlotte Trotter, Catherine (Chet) Vollmer, Ann (AF MSgt Gene)
Augustain, and Lynn (Reggie) Wheeler; siblings Kathy Wallenberg, Trudy (Buddy) Childers,
and Rem (Conni) Brandt; loving in-laws Ruth Ann Coplien, Sandra (Dave) Sterr,
Diana Konen, Deborah (Dan) Ashenfelter, Buck (Jan) Hoffman, Kendall (Friend
Kelly) Hoffman, Craig (Kathy) Hoffman; dear aunt and close friend Barbara (Donald)
Chapman; eight grandchildren Jessica, Karissa, Shavana, Alex, Zakia, Alaina,
Gianna, Eve; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Nancy was preceded in death by her brother in law Floyd
“Bucky” Coplien.
