Nancy Jean Soliven-Karls,

Nancy Jean Soliven-Karls, age 72, of Chilton, died on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton. She was born January 13, 1942 in Skokie, IL, daughter of the late Howard & Marion (Brown) Aylesworth. Nancy was a proud graduate of Michigan State University and began her teaching career after graduation; a career which took her to many places throughout North America and afforded her an opportunity to teach many children of many ages. A little later in life, Nancy began her chiropractic work, specializing in Craniosacral Therapy. She was a team leader at Upledger Institute of Brain & Spinal Cord Center and used her gift of teaching to show others how to advance healing. She had taught at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, and was invited around the world to teach and give presentations. Nancy had a passion for music, especially John Denver and Peter, Paul & Mary. She loved God’s gift of nature and enjoyed time spent outdoors fishing, camping, shooting, and driving cross-country. Nancy also was proud of her commitment to the yearly Sundance Festival, most recently with the Menomonee Tribe, where she worked as head of the kitchen and offered treatments to those in attendance. Nancy never turned a patient away and looked forward to opportunities to visit and socialize with those she treated. She never knew a stranger and always welcomed anyone into her home for whatever it was they needed at the time. Survivors include her husband: John of Chilton; mother-in-law, Marie Karls; children: Annie Armstrong of Florida, Jayna Richmond, Rob (Sherry) Walker, Erika (Tom) Rollins, Tor (Ruby) Warmdahl, all of California; Megan Hoffman of Wisconsin; step-children: Kris (Tina) Karls, Derek (Terri) Karls, both of Chilton; a brother: Howard (Barbara) Aylesworth, Jr. of Maryland; brothers-in-law: Jim (Sharon) Karls, Lyle (Rosanne) Karls, both of Chilton, sisters-in-law: Rosie (Melvin) Meier of Chilton, Dorothy (Mark) Ward of Florida; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces & nephews, and the many lives she has touched through the years.
