Norbert J. Kelley

Norbert “Kelley” J. Kelley, 83, of Fond du Lac, died Monday, July 25, 2016, at the St. Francis Home.

He was born on August 3, 1932, in Fond du Lac a son of Lloyd and Margaret O’Laughlin Kelley.  He was a graduate of Fond du Lac High School, Class of 1950.

On November 20, 1954, he married Dolores “Dee” M. Graves at St. Patrick’s Church, Racine, Wisconsin.

Norbert worked at Damrow Bros. for 42 years, working as a grinder/supervisor.  He retired in 1994. 

Norbert was a member of Holy Family Parish, Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270, and the Fond du Lac Senior Center.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing, shooting pool in various city leagues, attending sporting events with his sons, playing cards, and going to the casinos.  Kelley and Dee spent their winters in Destin, Florida.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores; three sons:  James (Linda) Kelley, Daniel (Vicki) Kelley, and David (Jodi) Kelley; a daughter-in-law, Linda Kelley, all of Fond du Lac; seven grandchildren:  John, Beth, Joe, Michael, Brittany, Josh, and Erin; two step-grandchildren:  Leigh and Nate; one great-grandchild, Ryan; and two step-great-grandchildren:  Kegan and Braden; one sister-in-law, Joyce (Bill) VanValzah of Milwaukee; and two brothers-in-law:  Don (Edna) Graves of Sturtevant and Michael (Cathy) Graves of Plant City, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Kelley; and mother and father-in-law:  Myron and Mildred Graves.

VISITATION:  The visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at Holy Family Parish, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac.

SERVICE:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at church.

Cremation will follow the traditional service with inurnment in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Francis Home, Agnesian Hospice, or charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to thank the nurses and nurse’s aides at St. Agnes Hospital and St. Francis Home for the care that was shown to Norbert.
