Patricia A. Wallender

Patricia Ann Wallender, 87, of Fond du Lac, flew home to her heavenly father as another angel, on Sunday, July 31, 2016. She was born to the late Alfred C. Sr. and Mildred A. (Frey) Johnson on April 14, 1929 in Sheboygan.

Pat was united in marriage to Robert W. Wallender on August 10, 1946 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North Fond du Lac.

Pat worked as a telephone operator and dispatcher for Wisconsin Bell. She worked as a counselor aide at the Beacon House in Fond du Lac. Pat spent lots of nights and time at the Beacon House which truly enjoyed. She was deeply involved in the church activities. She enjoyed helping others as often as she could. She was a member of the Gratitude Club. She was a grateful member of Al-Anon. Pat was humbly grateful to have been in sobriety for over 50 years. Pat totally loved traveling to see her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would travel anywhere to see her family, which she held dear to her heart.

Pat is survived by her son, Scott Alan Wallender; daughter, Mary Jo (Thomas) Wiesner Sr.; 10 grandchildren, Todd (Sue) Wallender, Jay (Joni) Wallender, David (Elvira) Wallender, Claire Hutton, Jesse Wallender, Jeremy Wallender, Crystal Wallender, Ashley (Nick) John, Sarah (special friend, Rusty) Wiesner and Thomas Wiesner Jr.; 11 great grandchildren, Kayla and Kenny Wallender, Leana Wallender, Forrest Rasmussen, Ridge Hutton, Alaura and Allen Staten, Leigha, Hailee and baby boy (on the way) John and Aria Loof; many other friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 1985; two sons, Jeffrey Robert (Barbara) Wallender and Richard Lee Wallender; one grandson, Jamie Wallender; her parents; one brother, Alfred C. (Johanna) Johnson, Jr and one sister, Charlotte Rajer.

Visitation: Pat’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Church of Our Saviour, 363 S. Main Street, from 10:00 to 11:45 AM.

Service: A memorial service will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 3 following the visitation at the church at 12:00 PM. Cremation has taken place.

Memorials may be directed to the family for charities that will be divided to several organizations dear to Patricia.

The family extends a deep appreciation to the staff at Tarfa Terrace for their care and support of Pat. Thank you to the staff and doctors on 5West at St. Agnes Hospital and Patty and Roy Andrews for their support.
