Patricia Kehrmeyer

Patricia K. Kehrmeyer, 92, passed away on August 28, 2016. She was born in the town of Fond du Lac on February 16, 1924, a daughter of Oscar and Ruth (DeVoy) Michels.

Pat was raised and lived in Brownsville, attending and graduating from the Lomira School District. During World War II, she worked in Milwaukee, participating in the war effort. On June 19, 1943, she married Francis Kehrmeyer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira by the Rev. George Gesell.

Pat and Francis farmed in the Mayville and LeRoy area from 1943 until 1962. During this time, she was a seasonal worker at the Brownsville canning factory. In 1962, they moved to Waupun, where she was a homemaker and worked at Huth James Shoe Factory. In 1980 they moved to Fond du Lac. Pat worked part time at Haentze Floral.

Pat was known for her good cooking, her love of the Braves/Brewers and for being a wonderful and loving mother to her children.

Pat is survived by three sons, F. James (Donna) Kehrmeyer of Osseo, WI, Gary (Iris) Kehrmeyer and Robert (Lynette) Kehrmeyer, both of Waupun; one daughter, Kristine (Mark) Ashmus of Fond du Lac; Four grandchildren, Christopher (Jill) Kehrmeyer of Beaver Dam, Jessica Dumke of Fond du Lac, Whitney (Mike) Wagner of Waupun and Kate Kehrmeyer of Waupun; six great-grandchildren, Scott, Evan, Carmen, Caden, Meadow and Violet. Pat is further survived by several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, four sisters, Joan Flor, Janice (Bob) Maultra, Janet Fischer and Sr. Mary Michels, OSF; one brother, Francis (Annette) Michels; two brothers-in-law, Earl (Betty) Kehrmeyer and Donald Kehrmeyer; six sisters-in-law, Genevieve Luedtke, Rosemary Pabich, Kathryn Daugherty, Catherine Kehrmeyer, Jean Michels and Ruth Michels; nieces, nephews and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, three brothers, Dale, Jerome and Richard, seven brothers-in-law, Thomas Flor, Rupert “Bud” Fischer, Carl Lookman, Merlin Luedtke, Oscar Pabich, Bob Daugherty, Vernon Kehrmeyer, and two sisters-in-law, Adeline Lookman and Mary Kehrmeyer.

Visitation: Pat’s family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth Street Way, Fond du Lac, from 9:00 to 10:45 AM.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation, at Holy Family Catholic Church, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
