Peter Komosa

Peter Komosa, 50, of Waupun, died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, with family by his side.

Pete was born July 15, 1966 in Waupun, WI and as he would tell you he was “the oldest of 5 kids”, the son of Charles and Beth Komosa. In 1988, Pete graduated from Beaver Dam High School. Pete resided in Waupun and Fond du Lac at the Poplar Group Home. Special thank you to his long time caregivers Evonne, Vonnie, Elaine, Colleen, Lori, Hanna, and other staff. Pete was employed at Brooks Industries in Fond du Lac, WI. Prior to that, he was employed at Hardee’s in Waupun.  He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun and 4th degree Knights of Columbus.

Peter was active in Special Olympics, bowling, swimming, bocce ball, and was a lifelong Packer fan.  He loved to dance, especially at weddings.  Pete was also active in the ARC of Fond du Lac and Fishing Without Boundaries.

Pete is survived by his dad, Charles Komosa of Waupun; step-mother, Mary Komosa; two brothers: John (Chris) Komosa of Waunakee, WI and Ted Komosa of Greensboro, NC; two sisters: Cathy (Jeff) Downs of West Bend, WI and Susan (Sean) Kelly of Des Moines, IA; 7 nephews; and 10 nieces.

Pete was preceded in death by his mom, Beth Komosa in 1998.

Funeral services for Pete Komosa will be held Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 5-7 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
