Ralph C. Dickmann

Ralph C. Dickmann, 90, lifelong resident of Campbellsport, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home with members of his family present. Ralph was born August 26, 1927 in Town of Auburn to the late Emil and Marie (Schultz) Dickmann. Ralph was a graduate of the Columbus Grade School in Campbellsport. 



Ralph was baptized into the Christian faith on September 18, 1927 at the Reformed Church of Campbellsport by Rev. Gutekauns. His sponsors were Henry Dickmann, Charles Krahn, and Emila Gessner. 



Ralph served his country from 1950 to 1952 as part of the Army A Battery, 793 Field Artillery Battalion at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin and Medical Co., 15th Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict. One of his fondest memories was meeting up with his brother, Lloyd Dickmann, also serving in the Korean Conflict, while on shore leave in Tokyo, Japan. 



On August 28, 1954 Ralph was united in marriage to Deloris Rosin at St. John Lutheran Church in Mayville, Wisconsin by Rev. G.F. Barthel. They farmed together in the Town of Auburn. 



Ralph was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Campbellsport and served on the church council. He enjoyed polka music, playing his concertina and harmonica… with the occasional off-note, gardening and telling stories to anyone who would listen. 



Survivors of Ralph Dickmann include two sons and two daughters, John Dickmann of Campbellsport, Peter (Amy) Dickmann of Kewaskum, Kristine Buchner of Campbellsport and Heidi Higgins of Fond du Lac; his grandchildren of Peter and Amy, Audrey (Nate) Lautenbach, Maggie Dickmann and Jacob Dickmann; grandchild of Heidi, Nicole (Lucas) Neas and great grandchildren, Ivy Neas, Olivia and Ava Lautenbach. He is further survived by one brother Harold (Gerda) Dickman of Campbellsport, a sister-in-law, Claudine (Bob) Burton of Janesville, brother-in-law, Kenneth (Diane) Rosin of Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, may other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Deloris on Dec. 18, 2010, a sister, Ovila (Arlie) Ringhand, a brother Lloyd (Leonore) Dickmann, and sister-in-law Sandria Rosin. 





Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 350 South Helena Street, Campbellsport with the Rev. Paul Cerny officiating. 





Visitation will be on Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 am until the time of the services at the church. 





The body of Ralph Dickmann will be interred at Auburn Cemetery, County Road Y, Campbellsport on Saturday, March 17, 2018 after the church service, there to await its glorious resurrection at the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
