Richard Allen Schry

Richard Allen Schry, 61, died
Sunday, June 7, 2015, after a 7 ½ year battle against cancer.

 

He was born on November 18,
1953, the son of Sylvester and Elaine Lang Schry.  He graduated from Horace Mann High School in
1972.

 

Rick proudly served with the
United States Navy for four years.  After
his discharge, he married his high school sweetheart, Jolene LeFevre, on April
23, 1977.

 

Rick worked as a correctional
officer.  He was an active member of
First Presbyterian Church, having served as an elder and deacon.  He enjoyed singing in the church choir, bible
studies, reading, and all things history. 
Rick loved spending time and traveling with Jolene and their daughter,
Heather.

 

He is survived by his wife, Jolene;
his daughter, Heather; his mother, Elaine Schry; one sister, Judy (Wayne) Wilke;
two brothers:  Dave (Sue) Schry and Tom
(Amy) Schry; sister-in-law: Janell (Jack) Kelley; one brother-in-law: Doug
Richter; and many nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by
his father; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Bowe LeFevre; and one
sister-in-law, Jodelle Richter.

 

The funeral service will be
held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at First Presbyterian Church,
1225 Fourth Street, Fond du Lac, with Rev. Jack Harrison officiating.

 

The visitation will be on
Wednesday at church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

 

Cremation will follow the
traditional service with inurnment in Estabrooks Cemetery.

 

A memorial is being
established.

 

The family is very grateful
for the expert medical care Rick received from Dr. Steiner, Dr. Virani, and Dr.
Windsor, along with their staffs.
