Richard “Dick” Lynn Thompson

Richard “Dick”
Lynn Thompson, 68, passed away on March 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his
loving family.  He was born in Ripon, WI
on June 7, 1947, a son of Thomas and Nolene Zahn Thompson. 

He graduated
from Goodrich High School, the class of 1965. 
After high school, Dick enlisted into the Army in July 1965.  Later during his military service, Dick
served with the Green Berets before being honorably discharged in April 1968.  Dick married Deborah Snider on January 30,
1976 in Golden, CO.

Dick was
self-employed in the construction industry. 
He established the trucking company, Thor Enterprises and drove truck
for many years.

Dick is
survived by his wife, Deborah, three sons, Darby (Colleen) Thompson and Sean
Thompson, currently residing in TN, and Thomas (Shelly) Thompson II of Fond du
Lac, four grandchildren, Jon Thompson of Fond du Lac, Travis Evenstad of
Rhinelander, and Caleb and Tanner Thompson of Maryville, TN.  Dick is further survived by his sister, Peggy
(James) DeMars of Fond du Lac, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Dick was
preceded in death by his son, Richard V. Thompson, his parents, aunts and
uncles.

Services:  Dick’s family will welcome relatives and
friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on
Saturday, March 5, 2015 from 9:00 AM to Noon. 
A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home, following
visitation, at Noon.  Entombment with
full military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery.

family.
