Richard Russell Puchter

Richard Russell Puchter, 64, of Fond du Lac, went to meet his Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at ManorCare Health Services, after a long battle with brain cancer.

                                                     

He was born on October 1, 1948, in Racine, Wisconsin, a son of Richard M. and Laverne Nelson Puchter.

On August 25, 1990, he married JoAnn C. Lochner, at Minocqua.

Richard was employed as a manufacturing engineer at Regal Ware, Kewaskum and he also taught classes in engineering at Moraine Park Technical College.  He was a federal firearms dealer for over 30 years and an avid deer hunter.

Richard was a devoted member of Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; four sons:  Ken (life partner, Joe), Eric (Angie), Roger, and Todd; seven grandchildren; his parents, Richard and Laverne Puchter; a brother, Jim (Patricia) Puchter; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Richard Robert Puchter; his grandparents:  August and Matilda Puchter, and Russell and Theresa Nelson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Immanuel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Cremation has taken place and burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Baraboo, where he will be reunited with his infant son.

We would like to thank ManorCare staff and Heartland Hospice for being compassionate and making Richard and our family feel comfortable during the past year.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
