Robert “Bob” R. McAuly

Robert “Bob” R. McAuly, 76,
of Fond du Lac,
died Friday, June 10, 2016, at home.

 

He was born on May 23, 1940,
in Fond du Lac,
a son of Byron W. and Ruth E. Bird McAuly.

 

Bob honorably served with the
United States Army from 1958-1961.

 

On August 6, 1961, he married
Norma R. Bell in Manchester,
Georgia
.  She preceded him in death on May 10, 2010.

 

Bob worked for the City of Fond du Lac for over 30
years as a heavy equipment operator.  He
was a member of Salem United Methodist
Church, Eldorado, Fond
du Lac
Elks Lodge #57 B.P.O.E. and Fond du Lac Eagles Aerie #270.  He was an active member of Fishing has no
Boundaries.  He enjoyed bowling and was
an avid fisherman.  Bob rang bells for
the Salvation Army at Christmas time.

 

He is survived by seven
siblings:  Lawrence “Pat” (Mary) McAuly
of Brothertown, Florence Jordan of Racine, Carrie Greene of Fond du Lac, Lester
(Kathy) McAuly of San Antonio, Texas, Ruth McGinnis of Bakersfield, California,
Bette (John) Wollersheim of Allenton, and Rose (Vurdes) Coffman of Bakersfield,
California; many nieces and nephews; and loving friend, Dorothy “Dot” Couch of Thomaston,
Georgia.

 

He was preceded in death by
his parents, and his wife, Norma.

 

VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
on Monday, June 20, 2016, at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 E. Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Tuesday, June 21, 2016,
from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

 

SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 11:00
a.m. on Tuesday at Kurki-Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory with Rev. John
Braland officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Estabrooks Cemetery.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be directed to Fishing has no Boundaries.
