Robert C. Baumhardt

Robert “Bob” Carl Baumhardt, 88, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, September 3, 2016, at

All About Life Rehabilitation Center.

He was born on October 16, 1927, in Fond du Lac, a son of Albert and Estelle Rosenbaum Baumhardt.

Robert served with the United States Army from 1954-1956 during the Korean Conflict.

On April 24, 1954, he married Lois Marie Hills.  She preceded him in death on August 17, 2014.

Bob was a supervisor with Brenner Tank for 32 years and a metal finisher with Metal Craft for five years. He was a member of Chapter 11 Disabled American Vets.  He enjoyed putzing in his garage, making birdhouses, and playing sheepshead and cribbage.

He is survived by four children:  Terry (Rita) Baumhardt and their children: Misty (Al) Snyder with Deion and Hunter, and Joshua Baumhardt (Abbey); Julie (Gary) McElhany and their children: Stacee (Brent) Johnson with Annalynne, Brennon, and Jilliann, and Ryan (LaShera) McElhany with Addie, Emmie, and Libbie “Hardt”; Tim (Maureen) Baumhardt and their children: Mike Baumhardt, and Matt (Amy) Baumhardt with Bensen, and Heather (Quentin Prince) Kutz; and Lisa (Jerry) Hill and their children:  Chaz, Logan, Jonas, Makensie; three brothers-in-law:  Ronald (Cindy) Hills, Darrel (Shelby) Hills, and Richard (Laura) Hills; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Farvour.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; a son-in-law, Timothy Keeling; and a brother, Donald (Sylvia)(Marion) Baumhardt.


VISITATION:  The visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at Immaunel-Trinity Lutheran Church, 20 Wisconsin American Drive, Fond du Lac.


SERVICE:  The funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at church with Rev. Tom Meyer and Dr. Gary McElhany officiating.

Entombment will be at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday at Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park with military rites conducted by Trier-Puddy American Legion Post 75.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Nina Hills Memorial Scholarship at Southwestern Assemblies of God University, 1200 Sycamore, Waxahachie, TX  75165.
