Robert M. Fox

Robert M. Fox, 84,
of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Hospice Home of Hope.  He was born in Fond du Lac County October 27,
1930, the son of Frank C. and Rose J. Byrnes Fox.  On August 16, 1952 he married Mary Lou
Streblow at the Presentation Rectory in North Fond du Lac.  He owned and operated the family farm for
over 75 years, which is now in its 3rd generation.  He also drove truck for Harold Fox Trucking
for over 18 years and was an insurance agent for Rosendale Mutual Insurance for
17 years.  He served on the Fond du Lac
County Board of Supervisors for 28 years. 
He was a lifelong member of Presentation Parish in North Fond du
Lac.  Robert enjoyed farming, playing
sheeps head, and spending time with his family.

 

He is survived by
his wife of over 62 years, Mary Lou of Fond du Lac; four children, Jim (Deb)
Fox, Julie (Blaine) Bartel, Thomas (Geriann) Fox, all of Fond du Lac, Karen
(Jim) Hoff of North Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren, Jeanna (Mark) Dante, Jenni
(Paul) Badtke, Dan (Stephanie) Fox, Pamela (Luke) Tranel, Adam (Kelly) Bartel,
Colleen (Shawn) Anhalt, Nicole Fox, Eric Hoff, Rachel Hoff, and Kayla Hoff; 10
great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Robert (Joyce) Streblow of Fond du
Lac.  He was preceded in death by his
parents; two granddaughters, baby girl Fox and Michelle Fox; one great
granddaughter, Angel Dante; one brother, Harold (Mary Jane) Fox; one sister,
Mary Jean (Wencel) Goron.

 

VISITATION: The
visitation will be held Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at
Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 – 11:00 am at church.
FUNERAL: The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at
11:00 am at Presentation Church, North Fond du Lac with Rev. Dennis VanBeek
officiating.  Entombment will follow in
the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum.
