Rochelle L. Walker

Rochelle L. Walker, 71, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at home. 

She was born on October 31, 1942, in Appleton, a daughter of O’Neil Joseph and Loretta Lillian Vander Velden Rochon.

Shelly worked for 17 years at Appleton Papers.  Following retirement, she moved to Las Vegas, NV, for 18 years where she enjoyed playing bingo and finally moved back to Wisconsin two years ago.  Throughout the years, she enjoyed her “little piece of heaven”, a cabin in Minocqua.

She is survived by a son, Nick (Katie) Locke of Greenville and their children, Cody and Kristi Rae; a son, Jay (Judy Stier) Klapps of Kimberly and their children, Leah, Corey, and Sara; a son, Niel (Jami) Klapps of Neenah and their children, Daniel and Ashley; great-grandchildren: Tryson and Ilianna; three stepdaughters: Wendy (Scott) Stolberg and their children, Maxwell, Mitchell, and Brittany (significant other, Zac Craig) and their son, Liam; Amy (Marty) McLaughlin and their daughters, Stephanie and Kathleen; Jill (Mark) Daft and their son, Hayden;  brothers and sisters: Daniel (Pepe) Rochon, Taos, NM, Steven (Jennifer) Rochon, Kimberly, Susan Rochon and special friend, Roxanne of Minneapolis, MN, Jillene (Robert) McLaughlin of Ripon, Gala Van Nuland and special friend, Nick, of Shiocton, Bonnie (Pat) Keyes of Hilbert, and Robin (Doug) Buelow of Sandy Valley, NV; special friends: Daniel J. Halfman, Sue Schaad, Gwin and Mike Kessler, all of Fond du Lac.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Walker.

A memorial gathering will be held from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Hitter’s Sports Bar, 141 Clark Street, Kimberly, 54136, with a celebration of Shelly’s life at 2:00 p.m. for a time of remembrance.
