Rosemary Alma Sabel

Rosemary Alma Sabel, 80, of Eden went to her heavenly home on Wed. Sept. 3, 2014 at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac with her family gathered around her. She was born in the Town of Lamartine on May 30, 1934 the daughter of Fred and Marcella (nee Freund) Sippel. She graduated from St. Michael’s Grade School in Dotyville and St. Mary Springs Academy in Fond du Lac. On April 16, 1953, Rosemary married LeRoy Sabel at St. Michael’s Church in Dotyville. They farmed together in the Town of Eden. Rosemary worked at the First National Bank in Fond du Lac and Campbellsport State Bank (Eden office). She served as a 4-H Foods Leader for many years and on the Town of Eden election board. She is a member of Shepherd of the Hills parish and the Ladies Society. For many years, she served as secretary of the Eden Knights Couples Bowling League. Rosemary loved gardening, her flowers and her kitties. 



Those left behind to cherish Rosemary’s memory include her husband LeRoy, her children Barbara (James) Craw of Green Bay, Robert (Grace) of Eden, Thomas of Eden, Mary Zuehlke of Lomira, Carol (Frank) Flasch of Campbellsport, Judith (Thomas) Reader of Fond du Lac and Patricia (Shawn) Jajuga of West Bend, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, her sisters Lois Wahlgren of Oshkosh and Karen (Andrew) Stoffel of Campbellsport, her brother James (Joanne) Sippel of Tempe, AZ, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Janet and Math Serwe of Campbellsport, other relatives and many friends. 

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Betty Verbockel, Susan Sippel and Ellen Kloke, her In-laws Clarence and Leona Sabel and her son-in-law Steve Zuehlke. 



Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Sept. 8th at 7:30 PM at Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church, W1562 County Rd. B, Eden. Rev. John Radetski will officiate. Entombment will be Tuesday Sept. 9th at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac. 



Visitation will be Monday Sept. 8th from 3:00 PM until time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
