Ruth M. Akey

Ruth M. Akey, 82, of Fond du Lac passed away Saturday Jan. 18, 2014 at St. Agnes
Hospital. She was born in Milwaukee on April 4, 1931 the daughter of the late
Fred and Minnie Schopf Hammerschmidt. Ruth married Marvin L. Akey on January 15,
1955 in Milwaukee. Ruth worked for many years at Hershey as a
Secretary/Stenographer. Ruth loved to knit and crochet for the veterans and
cancer patients.
Survivors include her husband Marvin, children: Ronald
(Paula) of Camden, SC, Bonnie (Clark) Matthew of Boulder Junction, Keith
(Sharon) of East Troy, Timothy (Kayla) of Painesville, OH and James (Jeanine) of
Cudahy, one daughter-in-law Pam Akey of West Allis, one sister Elaine Croft of
West Milwaukee, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and
many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two
sons: Gerald and Clifford.

Memorial services will be held Thursday
January 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 855 Martin Ave.
Fond du Lac. Rev. Brett Naumann and Rev. Matthew Reis will officiate. Visitation
will be Thursday Jan. 23rd from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.
