Ruth “Rudy” E. Gongorek

Mrs. Ruth “Rudy” E. Gongorek, 86, of Fond du Lac passed away quietly at home with her family by her side on Sunday January 26, 2014.

Rudy was the daughter of John and Anna Warner, born January 24, 1928 in Fond du Lac.

Rudy graduated from NFDL High, class of 1946 with her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Gongorek. They were married September 3, 1949 at Presentation Church.

Rudy was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, painting, golf, gardening and her daily glass of wine!

Survivors include her daughter Victoria Kaniecki Gongorek of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Marina Kaniecki of Baltimore, MD and Kyle Kaniecki of New York, NY; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2002, her daughter Cynthia in 2013, and seven brothers and one sister.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday February 4, 2014, 11:00 am to 2:45 pm at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St. Fond du Lac. Cremation has taken place.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday at Zacherl Funeral Home.
