Shirley Robinson

Shirley Robinson, 89 of Campbellsport Wisconsin passed away of natural causes at St. Agnes Hospital on June 30, 2017. Shirley was married to Jerome Knetzke for 7 years; Jerome was killed in a deer hunting accident. Shirley then married William “Robbie” Robinson.

Shirley and Bill ran Robbie’s Bar and Restaurant in Campbellsport for 12 years. After retiring they enjoyed many years being snow ducks spending summers in Wisconsin and winters in Brownsville Texas. After Bill’s passing in 1998 Shirley spent the next 13 years enjoying family, nature, and her beloved puppies (Sally, Sadie, Ginger, Bud, and Bell) while living in the family home in Elmore. Due to health issues including blindness and hearing disabilities Shirley spent the last 6 years residing at Grancare Nursing Center in Fond Du Lac where she enjoyed bingo, listening to the Packer and Brewer games, and cheering on Matt Kenseth in the Nascar Races. Shirley was able to make weekly trips to Schmitty’s for an Old Fashioned and some great eats. This was something she enjoyed and looked forward to each week. Shirley was a member of St. Matt’s Catholic Church. She was also a member of the VFW, the American Legion and a volunteer for the Senior Citizens at the Campbellsport Community Center. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Bill and seven brothers. Surviving family include son Rick (Jen), granddaughter Amber (Nicholas), Step-grandson Eric (Noelle) Braun, Step-granddaughter Becky (Mike) Sherman, step-great- grandchildren Ella, Isley, and Inara.

There will be a celebration of Shirley’s life for family and friends at the family home in Elmore, W3027 Spring Drive, Campbellsport, WI on Sunday July 9th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
