Sister
Amalie Milot, CSA, (Frances Milot) died peacefully on September 27, 2015, at
St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac, WI, after a brief illness. 

Frances
Milot was born in Haverhill, MA, on June 5, 1938, to Wilfred J. Milot, Sr., and
Amalie C. Hansen Milot.   Frances was one of eleven children, including four
girls and seven boys.  She entered St.
Agnes Convent in September 1958 and made her profession of vows in the
Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes on August 15, 1961.  After receiving a B.S. degree in Education
from Marian College of Fond du Lac, WI, Sister Amalie taught elementary and
middle school for ten years. Having earned an M.A. in Education from Fordham
University in New York City, Sister taught special education for 13 years at
St. Raymond Elementary School in Bronx, NY, and at St. Coletta in Jefferson,
WI.  She served as a resource teacher and
a substitute teacher while recuperating from knee surgery and caring for her
family. After her years in education, Sister Amalie took courses related to care
of those with dementia and to the spirituality of the elderly. Her more recent
pastoral ministries included: 1992-1998, assistant local coordinator at
Nazareth Heights Infirmary; 1998-2005, pastoral care associate, Journey Partners,
and bereavement care at St. Francis Home; 2006-present, volunteer at Hospice Hope.

Sister
Amalie was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred J. Milot, Sr., and Amalie C.
Hansen Milot; her brothers Norman Milot, Edmund Milot, Leo Milot, David Milot,
James Milot, Wilfred (Bill) Milot, and Joseph Milot; her sisters Marie Milot and
Juanita Danforth.  Sister is survived by
her sister Lena Thomas and the Sisters of St. Agnes, with whom she lived,
prayed and ministered.

A prayer
service for Sister Amalie will be held at Nazareth Court and Center, 375
Gillett Street, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, on October 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. 

A Memorial Mass
will be held at St. Francis Home Chapel, 33 Everett Street, Fond du Lac, WI, on
October 1, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.   Father Ken Smits, Capuchin, will preside. Burial
has taken place at St. Joseph Springs Cemetery.

The Sisters
of St. Agnes are grateful to the nurses and staff of St. Francis Home and to
the staff of Hospice Hope for their care of Sister Amalie in her last days.
