Sister Catherine Ruskamp, SSSF, “Sister Alvina”,

Sister Catherine Ruskamp, SSSF, “Sister Alvina”, 93, passed away Saturday June 29, 2013 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born on July 6, 1919 in Dodge, Nebraska, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Grosse-Rhode Ruskamp. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1936 and professed her vows on August 11, 1938. Sister Catherine served her community as a teacher, CCD director, a principal and a coordinator at various community missions. Sister Catherine is survived by her brothers Raymond Ruskamp and Francis Ruskamp, her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 77 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday July 5, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will follow in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Friday July 5th at St. Joseph Convent.
