Sister Helen Therese Salus, SSSF, “Sister Emile

Sister Helen Therese Salus, SSSF, Sister Emile, 93, passed away Tuesday Jan. 6, 2015 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. She was born Oct. 21, 1921 in Indiana Harbor, IN, the daughter of the late John and Theresa (nee Punak) Salus. Sister joined the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1939 and professed her vows on June 21, 1941. Sister Helen Therese served her community as a teacher at various community missions.

Sister Helen Therese is survived by her nieces and nephews, and the School Sisters of St. Francis Community with whom she shared her life for 75years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tues. Jan. 13th at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Convent, 526 Mill St. Campbellsport. Burial will be in Sisters Cemetery, Campbellsport. Visitation and wake service will begin at 9:00 AM Tues. Jan. 13th at St. Joseph Convent.
