Sue Ellen Gierach Chitwood

Sue Ellen Gierach Chitwood, 66, of North Fond du Lac passed away Tuesday June 17, 2014 at St. Agnes Hospital. She was born in Port Washington WI on April 29, 1948 the daughter of the late Harvey and Ilse Saeltzer Klotz. Sue Ellen graduated from Grafton High School in 1966. She married Peter Gierach on July 12, 1969. She loved reading, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and playing sheepshead. Sue Ellen married Craig Chitwood on June 13, 2009 in Oakfield. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2012. Sue Ellen was member of the First Presbyterian Church and its choir and Strong Women. She was a member of the Fond du Lac County HCE for over 30 years. 



Survivors include her children: Craig(Sue) Gierach of Campbellsport, Joel Gierach of Mayville and Julie(Gary) Goebel of Brownsville, 6 grandchildren: Abby, Katie and Lucas Gierach, Jackson, Kennedy and Kamryn Goebel, one brother Steve(Mary) Klotz of New Franken and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Craig and one son Christopher. 



Funeral services will be held Saturday June 21, 2014 at 11:30 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 1225 Fourth St. Fond du Lac. Pastor Jack Harrison will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday June 21, 2014 from 9:30 AM until time of services at the church. Memorials are appreciated to the family.
