Walter F. Dudarenke

Walter F.
Dudarenke, 96, of Van Dyne, passed away on June 27, 2017 at the Hospice Home of
Hope. He was born in Sheboygan on May 20, 1921, to the late Fred and Helen
(Jung) Dudarenke.


Walter
served in the United States Navy in the Pacific during WWII. On January 16,
1949 Walter married Alice M. Schnell in Fredonia, WI.


Walter
started his career in cheese-making at Five Corners in Sheboygan County. Walter
and his wife, Alice, were owner/operators of the Cheeseville Cheese Factory in
Washington Co. and St. Killian Cheese Factory in Fond du Lac Co.  They retired from the cheese business in
1981.


In their
retirement, they often went to Florida for the winter. Fishing was Walter’s
passion.


Walter is
survived by six children, Karen Kleinke of Van Dyne, Jean (Jim) Backhaus of Mt.
Calvary, Charles (Chris) Dudarenke of Fond du Lac, Thomas (Kim) Dudarenke of
Lomira, Gerald (Pat) Dudarenke of Rockledge, FL and Jeffrey (Ruth) Dudarenke of
Fond du Lac; grandchildren, Jared Backhaus, Jamie Dudarenke, Justin and
Nicholas Dudarenke, Nicklous and Ashley Dudarenke, and Matthew Dudarenke.


Walter is
further survived by one sister Betty (Don) Klein, sisters-in-law Gladys
Paulson, Grace (Ed) Mikalofsky, Louise Thiel, Evelyn Schnell and Patricia
Schnell; brother-in-law Jim (Margie) Schnell; great-grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends and his faithful companion, Rockie. 


Walter was
preceded in death by his wife, Alice, in 2014, one sister Erna (Norman) Radtke,
two brothers Gustav Dudarenke and Erwin (Carol) Dudarenke, sisters-in-law Helen
(Otto) Kaderabek, and Bernice (Steven) Zielke, brothers-in-law Eugene Paulson,
Wallace Thiel, Joseph Schnell, John Schnell, Kenneth (Marie) Schnell and
Francis Schnell.


Visitation: 
Walter’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl
Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, from
10:00 AM until 11:15 AM. 


Service: At 11:30 AM on Saturday, July 1, a Liturgy
of the Word will be celebrated at the Zacherl Funeral Home.  Entombment will be in the Shrine of Rest
Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.

Walter’s name may be directed to the family.
